 Drum! magazine has announced its annual readers poll awards, the 'Drummies'. Most categories show no surprising winners. Neil Peart was voted drummer of the year and best live drumming performer. Luis Conte is topping three categories: percussionist of the year, best rock/pop percussionist and best studio percussionist.
In each category, the name presented on top is the official winner. All the subsequent names under a category are considered to be runners-up by Drum! magazine, rather than second, third or fourth place winners.
