Mannhai is the band of former Amorphis vocalist Pasi Koskinen (who joined in the middle of their 2005 European tour!) and bass player Olli-Pekka Laine.
Though hailing from the cold North, Mannhai play Southern inspired stoner rock. So don't expect any "dark" (gothic/black) metal whatsoever. "Hellroad Caravan" is Mannhai's fourth studio album and again it's thick and loud the way it should be.
Drummer Mikko "Junoir" Pietinen grooves heavier than a truck full of bricks and the low riffs are top notch too, thanks to the great production of Jukka Varmo. This release is Mannhai's most significant album so far. Think Black Sabbath meets Alice in Chains meets Mother Love Bone meets Kyuss - thunderous and explosive rock n' roll!
