Francesco Lucidi (Foligno, 1986) is drummer in UK based eclectic world metal outfit Jurojin, also featuring tabla player Simran Ghalley.
He is also the drummer of the 2015 released game Guitar Hero Live, as well as a member of the alternative metal band Blackout Conspiracy. He is resident session drummer at Hackney Road Studios in London and playing with world-renown violinist Anna Phoebe (TransSiberian Orchestra, Jethro Tull, Roxy Music, Jon Lord of Deep Purple). He also plays with Italian band Mercutio.
Francesco Lucidi was born on January, 23 1986 in Foligno (Italy). He started studying drums at the age of 13 thanks to his brother Luca, a keyboard player). Soon Francesco realised the importance of music and he started studying with many music teachers like: Walter Calloni, Vincenzo Restuccia, Stefano Cavallo, Nicola Polidori and so on.
Francesco Lucidi won three international competitions reviewed by "Batteria & Percussioni" (Italian drum magazine) and he had the approval of many famous teachers Mike Quinn, Franco Rossi, Marco Volpe, Aldo Mazza and Alfredo Romeo. Francesco Lucidi also achived a scholarship in one of the most prestigious music schools in Europe: the ICMP (the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance) in London.
Francesco Lucidi also formed part of some clinics and workshops by drummers like Virgil Donati, Thomas Lang, Gavin Harrison, Mark Schulman, Pat Petrillo, Geoff Dunn plus Dave Marks & Darren Ashford. Francesco Lucidi has played in many covers bands, most recently with Melpein, Jujorin and with Anna Phoebe.
